| | All of our Girl Scouts have been excited to sell our wonderful, ionic cookies and have done outstanding during our initial sale. Cookie customers showed their support by ordering some of their old favorites or trying our new Adventurefuls this year. We thank you for being patient as we continue to navigate what has been a challenging cookie season so far. Today, we were informed by our baker that they are experiencing additional production challenges that may impact the availability of some Girl Scout Cookies this season. Please read the below information carefully. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions. - Girl Scout S’mores - Starting on February 4, S’mores will be removed from the Digital Order Card (DOC) for shipped orders only. Supplies for booth sales will be impacted. GSNCA ordered additional S’mores for cupboards. However, after this supply has been depleted from the cupboards, we will not be able to re-order. Troop leaders and parents will have to monitor their supply of S’mores, and when troop supplies are exhausted, the girl delivery option needs to be turned off. We encourage troops to use the exchange to look for additional S’mores, or post available S’mores.
- Adventurefuls - All troops will receive their initial order at Count and Go. Adventurefuls will continue to be unavailable on Digital Order Card (DOC) for both shipped and girl delivery orders. We are currently working on obtaining additional Adventurefuls and remain optimistic we will receive an order by the start of week two of booth sales – or earlier. We will keep you posted.
- Samoas - Some councils initial orders of Samoas might be impacted and/or delayed. At this time, GSNCA does not anticipate an impact, or if any, it will be minimal.
We understand this is not great news, but it is not catastrophic. We are doing everything possible to ensure every Girl Scout has all varieties of cookies throughout the program. While we hope that there will not be any additional challenges this season, we will continue to do our best to mitigate the impact on our girls and troops. We will provide updates as needed. |

| | Girl Scout volunteers are valuable assets and deserve to have their time and talents recognized! GSUSA's and GSNCA's formal adult recognition programs are designed to recognize outstanding accomplishments that go well beyond what is expected of the person in the position and reflect how the person's service exceeds defined criteria. The significance and impact of Girl Scout volunteers cannot simply be measured in years of service but in the impact on the young women whose lives are enriched by the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. GSUSA and Council Awards Nominations are due March 15, 2022. Awards will be presented at the Volunteer Leadership Summit on August 27, 2022. You can access the nomination forms here. |
