Girl Scouts Participate in Flag Vault Ceremony at Cheaha State Park
Girl Scout Troop 679 from Trussville, Alabama participated in a ceremony at Cheaha State Park to dedicate a special container that bears the ashes of respectfully burned U.S. flags. The highest mountain top in Alabama will now serve as the destination for the ashes of the flags. Troop 679 is making a great impact within the community. Camp Updates - Service Units can use camp facilities for day events, not overnight, at no-cost, but they are responsible for all prep and clean-up. Troops that have been displaced from meeting places due to COVID can use camp sites for meetings and will be responsible for prep and clean-up. Service Units and Troops that use camp facilities will be encouraged to adopt service projects from the approved list as part of their no-fee usage. Contact Amie Martin for all reservations and a list of approved service projects.
- Badge boxes will be available soon! The various badge kits are coming Spring 2022 and will be available at all of our camps. Troops and Service Units will be able to check out the badge kits when making camp reservations. The kits are available on the website and offered on the registration forms.
- For camp reservations, once a date is decided, paperwork will be sent via email. The due dates will be included in the email. You will have seven days to return the paperwork and deposit to Amie Martin. Please remember that all adults staying overnight must be registered and completed a background check.
- All reservations are subject to availability.
