Last Chance to Sell Girl Scout Cookies | This is the last chance to sell Girl Scout Cookies! Booth sales end on April 3, 2022. Girl Scouts are encouraged to dress like their favorite Superheroes this weekend to celebrate Hometown Heroes with their favorite guys at their cookie booth sales. Girl Scouts that participate in the Me and My Guy Superhero Weekend supporting Hometown Heroes will earn a Superhero patch. To earn the patch, upload a photo of you or your troop. Also, here are a few cookie reminders:
- Final Rewards are due from Troop Cookie Managers on April 7, 2022 by 11:59 pm.
- Final Rewards are due from Service Unit Cookie Managers on April 12, 2022 by 11:59 pm (no edits on rewards can be made after this date).
- The Final Payment for the 2022 Cookie Program will be withdrawn from the Troop account on April 14, 2022. Troop Cookie Managers will give you a deadline to turn in your cookie money.

There is Still Time to Join the Girl Scout Birthday Art Challenge | | Girl Scouts can share in the Girl Scout Birthday Art Challenge by submitting a 3x5 index card (or a piece of cardstock cut to 3x5) of any color, and creating a drawing (can be birthday cake, candles, 110, Girl Scouts, trefoil, party hat, etc) to celebrate Girl Scouts' 110th Birthday! Get creative and make it colorful! On the back of the card write your name and Girl Scout Troop. The cards will be assembled to create a collaborative piece of art in celebration of the 110th birthday. The 110 will then travel the council at events. Cards can be submitted by mail to the Birmingham office at 105 Heatherbrooke Park Dr., Birmingham, Alabama 35242. |

Paint Your World Purple | | Paint your world purple and join us for a virtual event on Thursday, May 19, 2022 with actor, producer, parent, and Girl Scout alum Kristen Bell, co-author of #1 New York Times bestseller, The World Needs More Purple People, as she talks about what it means to be a Purple Person and completes fun activities to show off those Purple People skills. This virtual event will air at two times on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. ET and 6:30 p.m. PT. Join early at 6 p.m. ET/PT for a special pre-show featuring Girl Scouts from across the country. This members-only event is open to Girl Scouts who join or renew their membership from April 1 through May 13. Do not forget! GSNCA's Early Renewal begins April 18, 2022. | Girl Scouts are invited to launch into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math on April 23, 2022 at STEM Fest! The girls will participate in many hands-on activities provided by Community Partners at STEM Fest . Here is a sample of exhibitors attending this year: Alabama State Parks, Fresh Water Land Trust, Space Camp, Society of Women Engineers, and Women in Defense. There will be an expo with stage demonstrations throughout the day. Every girl that attends STEM Fest will receive a swag bag from exhibitors, such as this bag of goodies from one our partners, SWE Society of Women Engineers. Adults and Leaders are free! STEM Fest will be held on April 23, 2022 from 9am-1pm at Calhoun Community College near Decatur, Alabama. This event is $10 per girl and includes patch, snacks, and take-aways. | | Congratulations to Gold Award Girl Scout Taylor Carden from Jemison, Alabama. She earned her Gold Award for her project, Art for All. Her project focused on providing art projects to special education students. Carden was able to create an environment for special education students to express themselves through art and was able to educate her community on the importance of art for these students. The educators at Jemison High School will continue to plan and carry out the art projects for students. |
