Girl Scouts at U.S. Space and Rocket Center--April 30, 2022 On April 30, 2022 ,the U. S. Space and Rocket Center will have one of the largest collections of rockets and space memorabilia on display. Girl Scouts will be able to journey through America’s Space Race and NASA’s plan to put man on the moon and the International Space Station, and get a glimpse of the future in commercial space ventures and the latest technological innovations. Girl Scout Campout Night with the Trash Pandas--May 6-7, 2022 Girl Scouts are invited to watch the Pandas take on the Chattanooga Lookouts and celebrate a year in Girl Scouting at Toyota Field! This event will include a Pre-game Girl Scout Troop parade, post game fireworks, popcorn, Pepsi and a movie, sleeping in tents on the field, continental breakfast in the morning, and a very special first pitch! Badge Explorer College at Southern Environmental Center--May 7, 2022 On May 7, 2022 , Girl Scouts can visit Southern Environmental Center's Interactive Museum, immersive GeoDome Theatre, and Environmental Park on the campus of Birmingham Southern College. The half day workshop will provide a hands-on overview on categories such as Think like a Citizen Scientist (all levels), Between Earth & Sky (Daisy), Shapes/Numbers/Design with Nature (Daisy, Brownie), STEM Career Exploration (Brownie onwards), Bugs & Wonders of Water (Brownie), Breathe (Cadette), Justice, Water, & Animal Habitats (Ambassador). Citizen Science Girl Scout Day at the Cook Museum of Natural Science--May 14, 2022 On May 14, 2022, Girl Scouts and their families are invited to participate at Girl Scout Day at the Cook Museum. Girl Scouts are Invited to Take Part in the 110th Birthday Art Challenge! | | Girl Scouts are invited to share in the Girl Scout Birthday Challenge by submitting a 3x5 index card (or a piece of cardstock cut to 3x5) of any color, and creating a drawing (can be birthday cake, candles, 110, Girl Scouts, trefoil, party hat, etc) to celebrate Girl Scouts' 110th Birthday! Get creative and make it colorful!
On the back of the card write your name and Girl Scout Troop. The cards will be assembled to create a collaborative piece of art in celebration of the 110th birthday. The 110 will then travel the council at events. Cards can be submitted to your nearest service unit or council office and are due by March 31st. |
