Girls Can Teach, Learn, and Compete in the Outdoors at Juliette's Jam | Your Girl Scout can compete, learn, or teach outdoor skills at Juliette’s Jam on October 15th at KPC. Troops can learn, teach, and demonstrate their amazing outdoor skills on camp setup, knives, knots, first aid, fire building, outdoor cooking, survival skills, and navigation. There will also be outdoor skills competitions! Girls will earn the GSNCA outdoor badge and charms. Lunch will be provided. Troops are encouraged to camp overnight, but they will be responsible for their own meals except for lunch on Saturday. The last day to sign up is Wednesday, October 5th!TEACHERLEARNERCOMPETITOR |

Girl Scout Day at the Birmingham Zoo--October 8th Lions, tigers, and bears--Oh my! Girl Scouts are invited to attend a special day at the Birmingham Zoo. If your Girl Scout wears her uniform, then she can receive $2 off for each person in the party. Activities include lorikeet feeding, Kiwanis giraffe feeding, and much more!MORE DETAILSGirl Scout Day at the Berman Museum--October 29th Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors are invited to tour the the Berman Museum and the Anniston Museum of Natural History. At the Berman Museum, Juniors can earn the Playing in the Past badge by engaging with the interactive displays throughout the galleries. Girls can explore the Longleaf Botanical Gardens, visit the new Learning Hot Spots, and one or more of our trails to work toward the Daisy Eco-learner badge and the Daisy and Brownie Trail Adventure badges. Girls will visit the Anniston Museum of Natural History to attend the monthly Saturday Alive live animal presentation. Girls will march in the city of Birmingham’s Annual Parade, one of the world’s largest Veterans Day parades. Girls need to be dressed in an official Girl Scout uniform as well as accompanying adults. Vintage uniforms will be available for use.MORE DETAILS Native American History Girl Scout Day at Oakville Indian Mounds and Museum--November 19th Girl Scouts can enjoy a guided tour of the mounds and museum along with a hands-on take home activity. Also, girls can visit the gift shop.
