Message from GSNCA CEO Karen Peterlin | | To Our GSNCA Girl Scout Family,
Thank you for a great start to this year’s cookie program. Our initial order is up 27% over last year and we expect your Girl Scouts to have a terrific direct sale!
Our Girl Scout cookie customers are excited for the return of Girl Scout cookies this year, including the new cookie, Adventurefuls, which was 10.5% of GSNCA’s total troop initial order. In October 2021, GSNCA submitted our forecast for this year’s program based on our own historical trends. While the demand for new cookies is always high, our newest cookie, Adventurefuls, exceeded all expectations and our forecast. We are happy to say that troop initial orders for all varieties, including Adventurefuls, will be filled with only minor adjustments for some troops.
As a result, we will not have any Adventurefuls available in our cupboards until we can place a reorder in mid- to late February. We are exploring all options to ensure our girls will have Adventurefuls for booth sales and we will be in communication with Troop Cookie Managers.
Starting today, the girl delivery option on Digital Cookies for Adventurefuls will not be available. All other varieties will be available. We also do not advise selling Adventurefuls on the Go Getter Card until available in the cupboards. Your Troop Cookie Manager will keep you updated.
We remain committed to work with Girl Scouts of the USA, work with our bakers, and still remain confident that we will be able to secure additional Adventurefuls for booth sales.
If you have specific questions or concerns, please contact me directly.
Yours in Girl Scouting,
Karen Peterlin, GSNCA CEO |
