| November is Native American History Month and Girl Scouts can celebrate by earning the Native American Heritage Month fun patch. Girls can celebrate the cultures, histories, and countless contributions that Native American communities have provided to the United States by learning more about the cultures of the Indian Nations in their state and across the country while earning a fun patch.NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH FUN PATCHOn November 19th, Girl Scouts can enjoy a guided tour of the mounds and museum along with a hands-on take home activity at the Native American History Girl Scout Day at Oakville Indian Mounds and Museum in Danville, AL. Also, girls can visit the gift shop. Bring a picnic lunch for you and your Girl Scout to eat on the grounds or visit a local restaurant for lunch.

| | Girl Scouts can represent our council in honoring our veterans. Girls will march in the city of Birmingham’s Annual Parade, one of the world’s largest Veterans Day parades. Girls need to be dressed in an official Girl Scout uniform as well as accompanying adults. Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to change into vintage Girl Scout uniforms the day of the event.Vintage Girl Scout Uniforms can now be checked out for use by troops and Service Units. The Town Hall Meeting will be hosted by Danielle Oliver, GSNCA Delegate Coordinator, to provide opportunities to discuss governance and policies.
