| The 2021 Cookie Program: We've Got This! Individual Girls Can Participate in the Cookie Program:Even if a troop isn't participating in the Cookie Program, girls may like to earn some great rewards while learning the Five Skills they'll use for a lifetime! We have developed a process so girls can participate and will be serviced directly by GSNCA Staff Members. If your Girl Scout would like to participate in the Cookie Program but her troop has chosen not to, please click this link and fill out the form and a staff member will contact you as soon as possible! Troop Booth Location Promotion:Each Troop Leader/Troop Cookie Manager who arranges at least five cookie booth locations, with at least 3 different dates at each location, will earn a Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama polo shirt! These booths must be submitted in eBudde for the Service Unit Cookie Manager to approve, in order to qualify. Service Unit Cookie Managers can earn this polo when at least 20% of their troops qualify! Check for an email from Sarah Stutsman with specific information! Upcoming Deadlines:1. Troop Cookie Managers must submit initial cookie and rewards orders by 11:59 p.m. January 11. 2. Service Unit Cookie Managers must submit initial cookie and rewards orders by 11:59 p.m. January 12. 3. | Mask Ordinance and COVID updates The State of Alabama has extended the mask ordinance through January 22, 2021. Please continue to be vigilant and Mask On, Girl Scouts! The CDC has provided clarification on the definition of Close Contact and we have updated our Covid Prevention Procedures to include the following: Close contact is defined by the CDC as someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to test specimen collection) until the time the patient is isolated.

| It's Back! The Inside Outside Campout! Join us January 22- 23, 2021 for a campout! Whether you camp inside or outside is your choice! Tune in with your troop or family for this live, interactive campout. Participants will receive a booklet to follow along with activities at home and/or participate in virtual program events. Activities will include sessions with subject matter experts, camp meals (recipes included), crafts, special guests, and more!

Friday, January 22 | 5:00pm - 9:00pm AND Saturday, January 23 | 9:00am- 12:00pm
The cost is $7 and includes the event booklet and a custom patch mail prior to the event, plus the live virtual programming.

| Applications Now Open for the G.I.R.L. Media Squad! Applications are open for the 2021 G.I.R.L. Media Squad! This opportunity is open to Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors across our council. Girls must have a passion for Girl Scouts and an interest in public speaking, news, blogging, social media, marketing, writing, or anything related to story-telling and media. This is a year-long commitment but current high school seniors are also encouraged to apply. Examples of Girl Media Squad opportunities include emceeing events, writing blog posts, planning events, appearing on the news, and creating and starring in videos. Applications are due by December 31. |

| Introducing Trailblazer TV! We're proud to introduce Trailblazer TV – a new platform powered by Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama. Trailblazer TV will guide you through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and introduce you to girls and women of courage, confidence and character who are making the world a better place. Along the path you will find opportunities to learn about entrepreneurship, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), life skills, the outdoors, and Girl Scout traditions. Our trail will feature amazing locations throughout North-Central Alabama and beyond that will inspire and bring out the Girl Scout in everyone! This month you can explore several Holiday themed shows that will help you earn your GSNCA Festival of Trees patch or any other fun holiday patch. You can hear from students around the world, take a winter hike, and learn how to make easy holiday treats that you can share with family and friends. New content is added daily, so keep coming back to Trailblazer TV for more fun!
